This is the unofficial site for Ironman UK Triathlon and has no official connection with the race itself.
The site has been put together to provide as much detailed information as possible about the Course, the race itself and the surrounding areas where the race is set.
If you are travelling to the race, but cannot get to Lancashire before the day itself, the guide will hopefully provide you with an insight to what awaits you. The information is based around my experiences as an Ironman athlete who lives and trains on the course itself. I have completed the race twice and will hopefully pass on some of my knowledge to make your race day run as smoothly as it can.
The race takes place across three Lancashire towns - Leigh, Wigan and Bolton and takes in some breathtaking scenery en-route and year on year the race has grown to become a favourite amongst long distance triathletes.
On the site you will find detailed course profiles with photo's and video clips along with reviews and reports by athletes who have done the race itself. There will be tips offered that you may find useful and up to date news and information from anything that happens locally that might affect the race.
